In the Kisaralik Lake area, Kisa Gold Mining, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gold Crest Mines, Inc., has staked 32 state mining claims covering approximately 4520 acres on the Kisa Project block. The claims are located approximately 90 miles east of Bethel and approximately 120 miles southwest of Donlin Creek and 40 miles west of the Shotgun Deposit. Access is via float plane, helicopter or from adjacent dirt unimproved airstrips. The prospects at Kisa were originally discovered in the 1980’s by another operator during a regional reconnaissance program, but were never drilled. KGMI established a 15-person fly camp and staged a district-wide exploration program and drilling project out of the camp during the summer of 2007. Work on the Kisa prospects included drilling over 940 meters of HQ core, collection of over 300 stream sediment samples, completion of three soil grids and collection of more than 250 rock samples. A total of 17 line-miles of IP/Resistivity and 120 line-miles of ground magnetics were completed as follow-up on 2006-07 airborne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys. |
