InvestorsGold Crest Mines, Inc. (the "Company") is a US-based mineral exploration company focused on precious metals exploration in North America. The Company trades on the NASDAQ Over-The-Counter Bulletin Board under the symbol "GCMN" The company was originally incorporated in Idaho, in 1968, to explore for base and precious metal deposits in the famous Silver Valley area near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho under the name Silver Crest Mines. After a brief run the company became inactive. In early 2003, the company re-domiciled in Nevada and underwent a name change to Silver Crest Resources. In mid-2006, the company was restructured with acquisition of the assets of Niagara Development Corporation, an Idaho-based private mineral exploration and development company, appointment of a new Board of Directors and a name change to Gold Crest Mines, Inc. As part of the restructuring the company completed acquisitions of several high potential precious metals exploration prospects in Alaska. Recently the company sold all their Idaho claims and no longer has a presence in Idaho. The Company business strategy is to acquire, explore and ultimately develop mineral deposits in geologically prospective areas within mining friendly regions within North America. The Company focus is on projects that contain significant size potential that are or will be of interest to mid-size and major precious metals producers who will ultimately be partners in the financing and development of discoveries made by the company. Specifically, the company is seeking to acquire core property positions in mining districts with deposit characteristics and geologic conditions favorable for discovery of large tonnage, bulk mineable deposits as well as higher grade precious metals systems amenable to underground development. This exploration strategy will be implemented utilizing a multifaceted methodology of direct grass roots exploration, joint ventures and property purchases where appropriate and where favorable financial terms can be negotiated. |
